The Pinnacle Team undertook the installation of an Energy Centre to provide heating and hot water to a new estate being built by our client on behalf of Affinity Sutton.

The Energy Centre provides services to 214 shared ownership and affordable rent properties that were being built by our client.

The Energy Centre had to be built to allow the future inclusion of plant as the estate build expanded to include future private ownership dwellings, as such lifting equipment and semi-permanent plant replacement hatches were included for future use.

Key Challenge

Due to the phased nature of the residential development this project served, significant thought had to be given to the installation of future plant, whilst minimising any heating downtime. To do this we created a system pipework installation with hydraulically separate connections for future plant, while spacing the base build services out to allow quick and easy installation in future.
