This project was for the design and build mechanical works to create a new 4MW Energy Centre for a major UK energy supplier within a new build mixed use development.

Our team undertook the full design within Autodesk Revit to BIM Level 2 for the client, allowing us to ensure that the installation could be completed within the extremely tight timeframe demanded by the client. Combined Heat & Power units were also installed to ensure that power was available for both the new buildings and for export back to the grid.

This project set the template for multiple further projects that our team were involved in with the same client over the following years.

Key Challenge

This project was undertaken for a major national energy company who would be holding the built asset for at least 25 years to facilitate the sale of heat and power to the development. This meant enhanced specification components and additional facilities for travelling engineers needed to be modelled into our design.
